River Park Farm comprises 350 acres of mixed arable farmland set on the edge of the South Downs. Due to the changing nature of farming in the 21st century, the use of the farmland and buildings has diversified somewhat in recent years. The main crops are wheat, oats, barley, beans, oil seed rape and potatoes.
Many public footpaths criss cross the farmland, and this is wonderful walking country. There are numerous lovely walks from the farmhouse and we have maps which you are welcome to borrow.
There is an abundance of wildlife - from the dining room window you can spot the wide variety of bird life which visits the garden, or take a short stroll at dusk and see bats, deer and hear the owls calling. |
